I would have never thought about using a stroller for a dog , I mean IT’S A DOG FOR HEAVENS SAKE,But then when my aunt gott a shih-tzu puppy and she would give her a bath, take her for a walk and she would get dirty again. So I started thinking about a way to keep her clean and still take her outside. So when I went to a pet store I saw a dog stroller. I think it is a pretty good idea to at least have a dog stroller.

I have a stroller and love it for traveling. I do not think a blanket would suffice as I was carrying my 1 pound puppy in a carrying bag and although the puppy was totally quiet and the woman could not see what I had in the bag, the woman at Sam’s Club asked me what was in the bag and when I answered honestly, she flipped and I do mean flipped. She was extremely rude to me. I think they will probably ask you and once you are in there, if the dog barks at any noise (like hearing children, etc), you are screwed. Most stores do NOT allow you to enter with them. The stroller is handy if you outside. South Florida around the beach has outdoor seating at quite a few restaurants and they do not care if you have a dog with you. That makes it possible to take them with you there. Any store that has food seems to be on the lookout for dogs (no matter how you try to hide them). It is against the law to let your car running without you in it in most of the states that I know of. I think it is ridiculous that they want let you take them in if they are contained in a stroller or bag but that seems to be the major rule. I have had a bead store allow me to bring the dog in and once a clothing store. My now weighs only 3 1/2 pounds so she is quite tiny but it doesn’t seem to make a difference of her size.

One warning, just because you have your dog in a stroller does not mean that the store will allow you to bring the dog inside their establishment. Most stores say it is against the law to allow animals in the establishment where food is sold. One woman working at Walmart was especially mean about it. She couldn’t tell by my carrying bag what was in it so she asked me and when I said a dog (even though she could NOT see or hear it) she went beserk and told me to leave immediately. The dog was a puppy and weighed 1 pound at the time and it was totally contained and I was not near any food.
