Apr 7, 2017 - Days Inn Oglesby/ Starved Rock: Good beds,nice shower

Fairly new hotel with a friendly and helpful staff that is well maintained. Good beds that are not the old La Quinta coil springs mattresses, hopefully they hold up well. The breakfast options were great with eggs, sausage and biscuits/gravy instead of just the usual breads and cereals. Location is in area with multiple hotels and a few restaurants.

Good ambience, Wi-Fi, AC Rooms, comfortable beds, lockers and a very helpful staff

This is a very charming small and clean hotel close to Place d'Italy. It's located in a quiet street so you can actually get a good nights sleep in Paris which is not always the case even in more expensive hotels!! The beds are very comfortable and the staff is adorable. The bathrooms are small but so am I. If I can't stay at Hôtel la Manufacture I change my dates or I stay at home,

Good Samaritan North to expand with 46 inpatient beds

Nice staff. You can find everything in the breakfast menu. Good bar. Comfy beds. Good internet. We sought the least expensive central Pasadena location to stay for a week, and this location was excellent for our purposes. It's three stories and our room was near the breakfast room, so it was not quite once 7 am came I(fine with us). Our main requirement was good beds as we had myself, husband and adult son staying on two queen size beds. The beds here (unlike the Kingman AZ Travelodge) were solid and my hubby and I could both get a good night's sleep. Great beds and pillow.
Continental breakfast: decent coffee, no half and half, but there was whole milk. Orange juice was not juice but orange delite type liquid. Fruit consisted of small red apples, and the managers were a bit chinzy with bread and English muffins--we had to ask them to be replenished and everything--including coffee--was promptly removed at 9:30.
If you speak Chinese, you will have no problems as all staff appeared to be Chinese. I had to act out the meaning of "tissue" in order to get a box as the maid failed to replace the empty box. Room was clean. We were crowded and could not eat at the table since there was no room for the two chairs. However, we could put one chair at the sink and work on our computer, an important capability for us. Bath and toilet are separated from sink/working area by a door--helpful. Decent shower. Wifi was fine.

We stayed a week. Our number 1 priority is good beds, and our two queens (for spouse and self, and one for adult son) were excellent with great pillows. If you have ever tried to sleep on a queen where you and your spouse both slide off the sides, you will know what I am talking about. We were able to get a good sleep. The washer and dryer were good and the room was clean--crowded for three adults--we could not put the two chairs at the table, but moved them around as needed. The toilet and shower are separated by door from sink and vanity, so we could use the vanity as a computer desk. Wifi worked fine. A great location on Colorado between our three major destinations in Pasadena, LA and Arcadia with a Von's two blocks away for food purchases. Breakfast was not replenished unless staff was asked--often no English muffins or pastries left, and only little red apples. OJ was orange drink, not actual juice. 9:30? Everything, including coffee, immediately removed!! (No waffles, either, for those of you Travelodge fans used to hot waffles). Management was fluent in Chinese, so I had to act out things like "tissue--there is no tissue in our room!" The price was very reasonable and the location was great--on that basis, we would stay again.
